What Can You Pray in the Middle of a Panic Attack?
Panic takes the words away first, and then you feel bad about having none left. The shortest prayer in the Gospels was said by someone going under, and it was three words long.
A story for this
Peter is walking on water and doing fine until he looks at the wind. Then he is afraid, and he starts to sink. What he says is not a prayer anyone would call composed. It is "Lord, save me."
The account gives it no build-up and no apology. He is mid-sink; those are the only words available; they are enough. Help arrives immediately — before the fear resolves, before he has steadied himself, before he has explained anything.
"But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me." Matthew 14:30, KJV
Three words, said badly, while going under. There is no shorter prayer and no better one.

Questions people ask
What can I pray during a panic attack?
Something very short. "Lord, save me" is three words and it is in the Bible — Matthew 14:30, said by Peter as he was sinking. The account treats it as sufficient. You do not need composure, length, or an explanation of what is happening.
Does God mind if my prayer is just panic?
There is no indication anywhere that He does. The Psalms are full of unfiltered panic. Jehoshaphat, in 2 Chronicles 20:12, prayed "neither know we what to do" out loud in front of an entire nation with three armies approaching, and that honesty is recorded approvingly.
What is a good Bible verse for panic and fear?
Matthew 14:30 for the words themselves. Mark 4:39 — "Peace, be still" — for the storm being addressed directly. Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God", was written with mountains sliding into the sea, so it is not describing calm conditions.
Is panic a lack of faith?
The Bible does not frame it that way. Peter was walking on water moments before, which is not the behaviour of someone with no faith. He was frightened by the wind, which is reasonable. Being afraid and being faithful appear in the same person constantly in Scripture.
You don't need the right words. Three will do.
