I'm trapped. I can't go forward and I can't go back.

The Israelites stood between an army and an ocean with nowhere to go. And God said, 'Stand still.' Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is stop running and let Him open a path that doesn't exist yet.

The conversation

The child: “Daddy God, I'm trapped. I can't go forward and I can't go back.”

God: “I know. Stand still.”

The child: “Stand still? They're coming for me!”

God: “I see them. I also see what's about to happen next.”

The child: “There's water in front of me. There's no path!”

God: “There wasn't. Watch.”

The child: “You're... opening the sea?”

God: “I'm opening what looked impossible. Walk.”

The child: “But what if the walls fall?”

God: “They won't fall while you're walking through. The water answers to Me.”

The child: “I'm scared to go first.”

God: “You're not going first. I'm already on the other side waiting for you.”

The child: “What about everything chasing me? The old stuff, the fear?”

God: “What's behind you is My problem. What's ahead of you is My gift.”

The child: “I can see dry ground. I can actually walk through.”

God: “You were never meant to drown. You were meant to cross.”

The child: “I'm through. I'm actually through.”

God: “Welcome to free. Don't look back.”
