🌈 Stories of SAMACE

I did it all myself. I built this. I earned it.

Nebuchadnezzar had to lose his mind to find it. Not every humbling is punishment. Sometimes God takes away the throne so you can finally see the King. The lowest place can become the clearest view.

The conversation

The child: “Daddy God... I did it all myself. I built this. I earned it.”

God: “Did you? Let Me tell you a story about a king who said the same thing.”

The child: “Nebuchadnezzar? He was the greatest king in the world.”

God: “He thought so too. Right up until the moment he was eating grass.”

The child: “Wait — You made a king go insane?”

God: “I let a man who forgot Me experience life without Me. There's a difference.”

The child: “That seems harsh.”

God: “Is it harsh to catch someone before they fall off a cliff they can't see?”

The child: “Sometimes I feel like I don't need You. Like I've got it handled.”

God: “That's the most dangerous moment. Not when you're weak. When you're strong.”

The child: “So should I be afraid of success?”

God: “No. Be afraid of forgetting who gave it to you.”

The child: “How did Nebuchadnezzar get back?”

God: “He looked up. That's all. After seven years in the dirt, he looked up.”

The child: “He just looked up?”

God: “Pride keeps your eyes on your own kingdom. Humility lifts them to Mine.”

The child: “I don't want to learn this the hard way.”

God: “Then learn it now. Every gift has a Giver.”

"Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase." Daniel 4:37, KJV
